Tattersalls are a
registered agent with one of the two insured schemes,
‘Tenancy Deposit Solutions Limited’ (TDS) and this is to
comply with current government legislation. The TDS do make
a charge for this, but this is covered by Tattersalls as
part of our fee structure at no extra cost to you. For all

with TDS in accordance with their terms and conditions. At
the end of the tenancy Tattersalls as a stakeholder will
deal with all matters and if there is an irreconcilable
situation we will place the appropriate proportion with the
scheme for them to adjudicate. The full Terms and Conditions

repayment process can be found at www.mydeposits.co.uk
If you will be managing the
property yourself, Tattersalls will pay the deposit to the
‘Deposit Protection Service’ DPS, (the government run scheme
for landlords which is run free of charge) within 14 days of
receiving it. However you will have to register with the DPS
as a landlord, as we are not allowed do this on your behalf.
This is done by going on line and visiting their website
www.depositprotection.com. Once on the site go to ‘Join the
DPS’ and follow the instructions.
If you experience
difficulties you are welcome to come to our office and we
will help you using our computers. You will then be issued
with a landlord ID. Once you have this, please let us know
immediately and this will allow us to transfer the deposit
from our name to yours. The DPS website has all of the
details of the scheme. |
