It is essential, as well as being the Landlord’s
responsibility, that adequate insurance is taken out for
both the building and the Landlord’s contents, and also that
the Landlord informs the insurance company that the property
is to be let and extends the policy to cover this and all
landlords liabilities. This policy should also cover the
property when it is empty, for example when the Tenant is
away on holiday or between tenants. Tattersalls can
recommend Brokers who specialise in Landlords Insurance
Policies.
We would be obliged if you
would forward a copy of any relevant insurance policies to
us, so that in the case of emergencies we can expedite any
necessary works. Tattersalls can not accept responsibility
for inadequate insurance cover.
If there are any special
conditions made by your insurance company would you please
advise Tattersalls prior to the tenancy commencing. |
