Tattersalls are licensed by legal stationers to draw up the
tenancy agreements. All the agreements are Assured Shorthold
Tenancy Agreements that are for an initial period of six
months. These cover the current Landlord and Tenant
legislation. The Tenant must be given two months notice
prior to the conclusion of the Agreement if the Landlord
wishes to regain possession of the property at that stage.
If no notice is served a periodic shorthold Tenancy will
automatically arise at the conclusion of the original term
of the Agreement. From then onwards the landlord may serve 2
months notice from the contractual date and the tenant may
give one months notice. The Agreements allow for additional
requirements to be added at the request of the Landlord. If
however these additions require the use of a Solicitor, the
Solicitors fee will be an additional fee to the Landlord.
The ingoing tenants are also required to agree to
Tattersalls standard letting terms (available on request)
that cover the more minor points in greater detail.
